An AGOBAY exclusive, this ceremonial matcha whisk holder in glazed white porcelain was created with Swiss ceramicist Therese Müller specifically for our ceremonial matcha whisk. Its refined, narrower form supports the shape of the whisk, helping its delicate bamboo tines dry evenly and naturally while remaining in form after use.
Designed and slip cast in small series by Therese Müller in her atelier on ‘Zürichberg’, each ceremonial matcha whisk holder is a unique piece, acquiring its distinct character through meticulous craftsmanship at various stages. Intended for daily use, it features a glazed porcelain upper so that the whisk slides in and out smoothly, and a polished foot. Simply rinse the whisk with warm water and place it bristle-side down in the holder to air-dry naturally.
Fired at 1,270°C, the whisk holder achieves both durability and resilience, without compromising its refined, minimalist character – while also ensuring it remains stain resistant. It is smooth to the touch, and pairs beautifully with AGOBAY’s white porcelain matcha bowl by the same artist.
This narrower form is designed specifically for the ceremonial matcha whisk in our collection; for larger bamboo whisks, we recommend our original AGOBAY matcha whisk holder.
