Description

Designed for preparing and pouring a single serving of matcha, this wheel-thrown porcelain katakuchi is an AGOBAY exclusive created in collaboration with Swiss ceramicist Therese Müller. Its rounded form rests naturally in the hands, while a gently shaped spout allows for considered pouring. Glazed and unglazed surfaces bring a subtle contrast of texture to the tea ritual.

Made on the wheel by Therese Müller in her atelier on ‘Zürichberg’, this porcelain katakuchi reflects the subtle traces of its making in gentle lines and variations across the surface. The interior is glazed for practical use, while the exterior remains unglazed, preserving the soft, tactile quality of the porcelain. With a capacity of 4dl, it is ideally sized for whisking a single serving of matcha, before pouring it into a matcha bowl or overfoamed milk for a matcha latte.

Capacity: 4dl
