White porcelain

Gift wrapping:

Discreetly asking for your touch, this unobtrusive yet artful teapot for one, made of white porcelain, stands out due to the uniquely shaped strainer. Its ‘houhin’ shape makes it comfortable for holding and easy to pour any kind of tea. It enhances the aroma and taste of any tea while beautifully reflecting the soul of Japanese brand OGATA, which is dedicated to the preservation of age-old skills and traditional craftsmanship.

The pot’s diameter offers a larger surface, prompting the leaves to absorb the water in a more even manner. Each pot is handmade with slight differences in colour, pattern, shape and size as a result of the production process. Its exterior is glazed and smooth to the touch. Considered a standard pot, it is suitable for various teas including high-quality green teas such as sencha. When pouring, no strainer is needed.

Height 70mm, diameter 120 mm

Before first use, immerse the teapot in boiling water for 30 minutes.

Taking care of your teapot includes avoiding stacking it with other objects to prevent scratches or cracks. Use spoons and other hard utensils with extra care to avoid striking or scraping.

Wash the teapot by hand carefully after use with a soft sponge and dry thoroughly. Do not wash it with any cleansing agents and avoid using abrasive, metal, or wood sponges, dishwashers or drying machines.

The teapot must not be directly exposed to temperature shocks – whether from a flame, conventional oven, microwave, induction cooktop, freezer, refrigerator, or any other source of heat or cold. Avoid any shocks or friction.

If you notice cracks, chips or deep scrapes, please stop using it, as these can cause the item to break at any time.

As our objects are crafted in small batches and often made to order by our artisans, we regretfully do not accept any returns.
