Description
Crafted by hand from western redcedar, the AGOBAY sugi lamp is defined by its sculptural silhouette and the quiet warmth of its natural materials. Layered cedar veneers gently diffuse the light, while the tripod base creates a balanced, architectural presence. Over time, the wood develops a rich patina, allowing each lamp to acquire a character uniquely its own.
French designer and craftsman Yann Antonucci created the Sugi lamp exclusively for AGOBAY. It’s the second piece in the AGOBAY furniture collection, expressing our approach to a refined life through natural materials, craftsmanship and timeless design. Handcrafted from western redcedar, each lamp carries the warmth, fragrance and distinctive grain of the wood, allowing every piece to remain unique. Inspired by the Japanese appreciation of cedar as a living presence, the lamp is conceived not simply as a source of light, but as a quiet object that brings atmosphere to a space. As the wood matures, it develops a subtle patina, reflecting the beauty of materials that continue to evolve over time. Produced in a strictly limited edition.

To preserve the natural character of the western redcedar, clean gently with a soft, dry duster cloth and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight and excessive heat.
As a living material, cedar responds naturally to its environment. Over time, the wood will develop a rich patina while retaining its distinctive fragrance and warmth. Avoid placing the lamp close to radiators or air conditioning vents.
As the AGOBAY Sugi lamp is produced in limited quantities and often made to order, we regretfully cannot accept returns.
