Description

Ark Journal volume 15 explores the home and studio as spaces of personal expression, where architecture reflects identity through light, material, memory and intention. From intimate apartments to artist studios across cities and landscapes, this issue considers interiors shaped by daily life, craft and atmosphere, revealing how the spaces we inhabit become quiet portraits of who we are.

This Copenhagen-based biannual magazine celebrates the beauty, simplicity and thoughtful living that shape Scandinavian design and architecture. Volume 15 features visits to private homes, artist studios and carefully composed interiors across Marfa, Ghent, New York, Copenhagen, Naples, Berlin, Zealand and upstate New York. Highlights include Donald Judd’s enduring presence in Marfa, Michaël Borremans’ studio in Ghent, Gabriel Hendifar’s New York loft, Lia Rumma’s apartment in Naples, and a Berlin apartment where modernist clarity meets crafted detail. Also featured are conversations with Sarah-Linh Tran of Lemaire and architect Filipe Assis on culture, design and place.
