Tea Experience
The Tea Experience at AGOBAY is a quiet, meditative ceremony led by Japanese tea master Katsuhito Imaizumi, founder of Cha to and Through The Tea – two platforms offering tea experiences that connect people with nature and the spirit of Japanese culture. Born in Aichi and now based in Paris, Katsuhito also offered traditional Japanese tea experiences with OGATA Paris and Sakurai Tea Experience in Tokyo.
In contrast to our Tea Workshop, the Experience is not about explanation – it is about immersion. The session begins with ‘Onjyaku’ (warming the hands and body with a heated stone) and ‘Monko’ (the appreciation of scented wood), designed to ground you and awaken the senses. From there, tea is prepared and served with calm precision, following a slow, considered rhythm that invites stillness and emotional connection. Each session is guided in English, with space for up to six participants. New dates will be added regularly.
